OPEN POSITIONS: FARM CREW (Full and part-time)
We are so excited to be opening up job positions for Wonka’s Harvest this upcoming growing season. As we head into our fifth growing season, our employees will help us navigate our expanding 5 acre no-till vegetable farm. Our employees will learn alongside us as we build better farm operations as we continue to scale our CSA, wholesale clients, and sales at the Dane County Farmers’ Market.

Farm Crew Position
No Past Farm Experience Required
Farm crew should be able to commit Monday - Friday from 8 - 4 p.m. starting mid-May through the end of October. Full-time applicants will be prioritized, but part-time positions will be considered. We will try to accommodate to school and other work accommodations!
Position Expectations:
Bring a positive can-do attitude
Follow SOPs in the field and pack shed to ensure safe and effective operations
Perform field tasks including: weeding, building beds, direct seeding, hand transplanting
Perform pack shed tasks including: wash and pack out produce, sanitize harvest bins, weekly deep clean
Fill the needs of CSA, wholesale, online sales, and farmers’ markets
This includes performing certain tasks as-needed, including: driving to the farm to pick up and drop off vegetables for markets, delivering wholesale orders, working customer-facing farmers’ markets on weekends and evenings
Participate in weekly meetings and check-ins
Qualifications:
No prior farm experience is needed, but is preferred
Ability to work well within small teams, but also be an independent and self-motivated worker
Fast, responsive, and inquisitive learner
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work through unfavorable weather conditions
Ability to adhere to safety protocol
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to take feedback well to be a safer and more efficient employee
Reliable transportation to farm required
Compensation:
$15.50/hr + higher start pay may be negotiated based on prior experience and references
Paid 30 minute lunch break for full-time employees
End of season bonus
Gas stipends & gear stipends provided
Pay increases and bonuses rewarded based on job performance
Vacation available with notice
Take home a surplus of organic produce
Two paid sick days per season
